Anri Husanov-Havertz incident compared to Garcia's red card turn of events

Controversial incidents on the pitches of England and Spain are once again causing significant debate among football fans. Former Arsenal and Barcelona forward Thierry Henry, appearing on Sky Sports, highlighted how similar episodes in two different matches were officiating inconsistently.
The French expert first recalled the situation in the Atletico Madrid vs. Barcelona match held in Madrid. In his opinion, the red card shown to Eric Garcia was an excessively harsh punishment.
Henry stated: "Yesterday in the Madrid match, I saw a Barcelona defender sent off for minimal contact, and this decision surprised me. A punishment of this level was too severe for that episode. Such decisions alter the entire scenario of the match."
He then addressed an episode involving Abdukodir Khusanov during the Manchester City vs. Arsenal match in England. Henry noted that although the two situations were nearly identical, the referee did not apply any sanctions.
He commented on this as follows: "Then I saw the incident with Khusanov in the City vs. Arsenal game. A very similar episode, but here no decision was made — no foul, no card. The game simply continued."
Following this, Henry posed a question: "What are we basing our decisions on in such situations? If we understand the rules of football, why are identical episodes evaluated differently on different pitches?"
In his view, if the situation in Madrid was deemed a violation, it should have been evaluated the same way in England. Conversely, if it was determined there was no foul in the situation involving Khusanov, then the episode in Spain should also have gone unpunished.
Henry explained it simply: "You cannot interpret the same rules differently in various matches based on the team or the situation. This contradicts the logic of football."
The French legend also clearly stated his position on the Khusanov incident: "To me, there is no foul in this situation. Football is a contact sport; physical struggle is natural. Such collisions happen. However, my point is that Barcelona were unfairly penalized at that exact moment."
He added: "If a red card is not given here, then it shouldn't have been given there either. I don't think the rules changed overnight."
According to Henry's conclusion, Barcelona did not deserve such a decision in the match against Atletico, and such errors carry immense significance, especially in high-level encounters.
For reference, Manchester City defeated Arsenal in this round, extending the gap in the league table to 3 points. If Guardiola's side wins their game in hand, they will have the opportunity to draw level with the leaders.
