UzChess Cup in Tashkent: world stars will gather for chess

Toshkentda UzChess Cup: jahon yulduzlari shaxmatga jamlanadi

Tashkent is once again on the verge of becoming a center of world chess. From June 6 to 16 this year, the capital will host the third international "UzChess Cup" tournament, which will bring together the world’s strongest grandmasters and promising young talents on one stage.

The tournament’s total prize fund is $121,500. This further raises the prestige of the event. One of the most interesting aspects is that each group winner will earn the opportunity to compete at a higher stage of next year’s "UzChess Cup".

The tournament will be held in the Masters, Challengers, Futures and Open groups. This format creates conditions for experienced grandmasters and the new generation of chess players to compete at the same time.

So far, the list of confirmed stars has also generated great interest among fans. It includes such well-known names as Ian Nepomniachtchi, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Arjun Erigaisi, Javokhir Sindarov, Hans Niemann, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Vidit Gujrathi, Nodirbek Yakubboyev, Shamsiddin Vohidov and Nikolas Theodorou.

In short, "UzChess Cup" is becoming not just a tournament, but a true chess show. In Tashkent, we will once again witness battles of mind, strategy and will.
