Joao Pedro has called on his Chelsea teammates to take responsibility following their 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest. The forward emphasized that the result at Stamford Bridge dealt a significant blow to the team's European ambitions. This was reported by Goal.com xabar.

Chelsea conceded a goal just 98 seconds into the match, a situation Joao Pedro described as unacceptable. In an interview with Sky Sports, the Brazilian forward openly acknowledged the team's errors.

"We conceded a goal very early, and it is difficult to change the game in such a situation," he said.

This marks Chelsea's sixth consecutive defeat in the Premier League. It was the second match under interim manager Callum McFarlane.

Pedro refused to blame the manager, focusing instead on the players who failed to perform on the pitch.

"Each of us needs to look at ourselves, including me," Pedro said. "We need to find a way to play better.

I feel sorry for the fans. The problem is not the manager, but us, the players."

The defeat proved costly for the team in the race for the top five. A victory would have allowed Chelsea to continue their pursuit of a Champions League spot.

Now, the team remains in the middle of the league table.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Pedro added: "The motivation is always there. If we had won today, we would have had a chance to qualify for the Champions League.

Now it is more difficult, but we must fight for every game and every point."
