Leeds United look to sign Juventus forward

Leeds United are the frontrunners to sign Juventus forward Lois Openda during the summer transfer window. Daniel Farke is planning to bring the Belgian player to Elland Road to strengthen the team's attacking line, according to Goal.com reports.

Although Coventry City has also joined the race, Leeds United is considered the favorite to finalize the deal. The club's management aims to sign the forward on a loan deal with an option to buy for the Premier League.

Juventus is ready to offload the 26-year-old. Despite spending around £35 million on the forward acquired from RB Leipzig, the Italian club has not seen the expected results. Openda has managed to score only 2 goals in 37 appearances this season.

The Leeds United board is prepared to offer the player a high salary. Club officials are confident that Openda will regain his former form and the prolific goal-scoring ability he displayed at RB Leipzig.
