According to the Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, RB Salzburg is interested in signing the 33-year-old player. The Austrian club sees Alaba as an experienced leader to mentor their young players.
Returning to his homeland is emotionally significant for Alaba. He began his career in Austria before moving to Bayern Munich. However, other clubs besides Salzburg are also showing interest in the player.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano notes that Alaba's agent, Pini Zahavi, has held talks with several clubs in Milan. The possibility of the player moving to the MLS or the Saudi Pro League is also being considered.
Due to injuries this season, Alaba has made only 14 appearances for Real Madrid. The defender, who arrived in Madrid in 2021, has won the Champions League twice with the team.
