OpenAI to make GPT-5 free for all users

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced on social media platform X that the new artificial intelligence model, GPT-5, will be available to all users completely free of charge.

“ChatGPT users with a free subscription will have unlimited access to GPT-5’s core functions. Plus and Pro subscribers will also get additional features such as voice and image generation, as well as advanced data analysis tools,” Altman wrote.

Additionally, Altman announced an upcoming update for GPT-4.5, internally known as Orion. After this release, OpenAI’s main goal will be to unify all models into a single system, allowing access to all proprietary tools.
