In recent years, Apple has been making small design changes to its products. In many cases, the new model seems to differ from the previous one only in colors. However, in 2026 the company is expected to present an entirely new device — a foldable iPhone.
According to Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman, Apple is working on a smartphone that unfolds like a book and turns into a tablet. This first foldable model has the internal code name V68, and it is known that its external display will be about five to six inches, while the internal screen will be around eight inches.
The new iPhone will be equipped with four cameras: on the front panel — separate lenses for selfies and video calls, and on the back — two more high-resolution cameras. In addition, developers are bringing back the previously popular Touch ID technology. The fingerprint scanner will be located on the side panel of the device.
According to experts, the new foldable iPhone model will attract great interest among buyers. The estimated price of the smartphone is expected to be around 1,999 dollars (161,419 rubles).
