OpenAI enters the recruitment market and challenges LinkedIn

OpenAI has officially announced the launch of a new employment platform - OpenAI Jobs Platform, which is expected to radically change the recruitment process. This was reported by Techcrunch.
According to the company's statement, the system will use artificial intelligence to automatically compare employers' requirements with applicants' skills. The tool will be useful not only for large businesses, but also for small businesses and government agencies, especially in finding IT specialists.
A distinctive feature of the project is its close integration with the OpenAI Academy learning environment, where users can undergo training and certify their skills in artificial intelligence. This will give applicants additional benefits and make the platform more transparent and objective.
OpenAI is clearly aiming to challenge LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft. Unlike the professional social network, the new system will focus on AI-tested skills rather than formal resumes and recommendations.
OpenAI Jobs Platform is expected to launch in the second half of 2026. Development is already actively underway, and judging by the company's ambitions, the recruitment market is expecting serious changes.
Can artificial intelligence change the approach to job searching and make employment more fair and faster? If we survive, we'll see.
