China investigates US chip policy
China’s Ministry of Commerce has launched an investigation into the US policy on chips. According to the ministry, the US is pursuing a discriminatory policy against Chinese companies, and some American manufacturers are selling chips at low prices.

Beijing calls these measures “against fair competition.” According to China, US restrictions are aimed at halting the country’s development in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

The decision was announced ahead of trade talks between the US and China, set to begin on September 14 in Madrid. The talks are expected to cover customs tariffs and export controls.

China urged the US to “stop its wrong policy” and stated that if pressure continues, measures will be taken to protect the interests of its companies.
