Steam will end support for 32-bit Windows in 2026, according to the official Steam website.
Starting January 1, 2026, Steam will officially stop supporting 32-bit versions of Windows. Currently, only Windows 10 32-bit is supported, and it accounts for just 0.01% of systems per the Steam Hardware Survey.
Windows 10 64-bit will still be supported, and 32-bit games will continue to run. However, Steam clients on 32-bit systems will no longer receive updates, including security patches.
Steam Support will not offer help for outdated systems. To stay updated and compatible, users are strongly encouraged to switch to a 64-bit version of Windows.
