The company presented a prototype of the "Project Amplify" motorized sneakers to the public on its official page. This innovative project is currently in the pilot stage and is expected to bring revolutionary changes to sports and everyday walking in the future.
"Project Amplify" is a sneakers equipped with motors that detect a user's walking or running movement and help them move. Feet movement is analyzed by sensors and a battery system located inside the device, and an additional impulse is applied to it. This makes walking easier and reduces fatigue.
Nike considers this technology particularly beneficial during the rehabilitation process for athletes who walk long distances and elderly users who have difficulty walking.
So far, this model has been developed not for mass production, but as a prototype. Nike plans to collect feedback from users and improve the comfort and efficiency of the future model.
