Rockstar Games has officially announced that the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed once again. Initially, the game was planned to be presented in May 2026, but now fans will have to wait another six months: the new official date is set for November 19, 2026.
As reported on the studio’s official page, this decision was explained by the necessity to bring the project’s quality to the highest level. The developers emphasized that the additional time is required to fully meet the eagerly awaited demands of the game’s loyal audience.
Rockstar expressed gratitude for the patience and constant support of its players. Despite the delays, the studio stated it is excited that soon players will be able to explore the imaginary state of Leonida and visit the modern version of Vice City.
This is not the first time the game’s release date has changed. Previously, the game was planned for release in the fall of 2025, and later postponed to May 2026.
According to currently confirmed information, GTA VI will be released for the new generation consoles — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is still no official announcement regarding the personal computer (PC) version.
However, according to Rockstar Games’ usual practice, it is expected that the PC version will be released within a year after the debut on consoles.
