Now using Telegram is not always free!

In recent days, users in Germany, Brazil, and a number of African countries have been experiencing difficulties accessing Telegram. They're complaining that they can't get their usual free SMS authorization. To access the user's account, only the paid SMS service remains available.

According to an official Telegram statement, the cost of sending SMS messages in some countries is extremely high. Therefore, the company introduced a temporary paid authorization system to cover the costs.

The cost of access via paid SMS is on average 1-1.5 US dollars. To compensate the user for this purchase, the company provides them with a free 1-week Telegram Premium subscription. Thanks to this, the user will be able to use additional functions.

So far, this system has been implemented only in some countries, and the procedure for accessing Telegram in Uzbekistan remains unchanged. However, users say that the company's approach is causing controversy. Most people insist that authorization on Telegram should always remain free.
