Chinese company Xiaomi has introduced a new smart air conditioner under the Mijia brand. The device, named Mijia Human-Sensing Wind 1.5HP AC, features the ability to detect people in the room and automatically adjust the temperature accordingly. Reports rozetked.me.
The new air conditioner can change not only the temperature but also the airflow based on the location and movement of people. For example, the device has modes to direct the airflow straight at a person or, conversely, divert it to avoid blowing on the face.
If there is no one in the room, the system automatically switches to power-saving mode. This allows for significant savings in electrical energy.
The air conditioner has a capacity of 1.5 horsepower, and its operating noise level does not exceed 16 decibels. The device can be controlled via voice commands or the Mi Home app. It is also fully integrated into the HyperOS ecosystem.
The official price of the new smart air conditioner is 3899 yuan. However, buyers can currently purchase it for 2399 yuan on the Xiaomi Mall online store. As a reminder, the company also showcased a similar smart air conditioner last spring, and recently a smart fan.
