Facebook Marketplace is introducing new Meta AI features to make selling easier. Sellers can now use artificial intelligence to automatically draft replies to buyer messages about item availability, price, location and other details listed in their posts. Reports Techcrunch.com.
The social network announced on Thursday that the AI tool pulls information directly from the seller's listing to create helpful responses. This addresses a common frustration where sellers receive many repeated questions about items clearly marked as available. Users can enable, preview and edit these auto-replies while creating their listings.
In addition to messaging assistance, Meta AI can now help sellers create listings faster. After uploading a photo of an item, the AI generates a draft with details and suggests a competitive price based on similar items in the local area. Buyers will also see a new summary of the seller's Facebook profile, including account age, friend count, listing history and seller ratings.
Sellers can expand their audience by offering shipping options on listings. They can generate prepaid shipping labels and track orders through a simple dashboard. These updates build on existing Meta AI tools in Marketplace that help buyers ask better questions and provide insights for vehicle sales.
