Google Chrome updated: new features

Google has rolled out a new update for its Chrome browser, introducing vertical tabs and a redesigned reading mode. These features are already becoming available to users, offering new ways to manage open pages and consume content. Reports Ixbt.com.
Users can now change the traditional layout of their browser tabs. Instead of keeping them pinned at the top of the window, tabs can be moved to a side panel. This vertical view can be activated simply by opening the context menu and selecting the corresponding option. While this approach has been available in Microsoft Edge, it is a new built-in solution for Chrome.
The vertical layout is specifically designed for users who work with a large number of open pages. In this view, website titles are fully visible, which significantly simplifies navigation and helps users find the right tab much faster. It also makes managing tab groups more convenient during active multitasking.
Alongside the tab management update, Google has revamped the reading mode. The feature now includes a dedicated full-screen format that hides unnecessary interface elements and third-party blocks. The webpage is transformed into a clean text format without any distracting details. Users can easily open any article in this mode by right-clicking on the page. According to the developers, these changes aim to simplify interaction with content and enhance comfort during long reading sessions.
