MacBook Ultra to launch in 2027 with OLED screen and 5G module

MacBook Ultra to be released in 2027 with OLED screen and 5G module

Apple is planning to introduce a new laptop model known as the MacBook Ultra. According to sources among component suppliers, the release of the device has been moved from late 2026 to early 2027 due to constraints in the memory market. Ixbt.com reports on this.

This gadget will be distinguished from current MacBook Pro versions by significant technical changes.

The MacBook Ultra is expected to be the company's first laptop equipped with an OLED display. Instead of the current mini-LED panels, a new matrix will be used to show black colors even more clearly.

It is also reported that a touch layer will be added to the screen, allowing the system and applications to be controlled via finger touches.

The design of the upper part of the display will also change: instead of the traditional "notch" for the camera, a small hole will be opened in the screen. A special area will appear in the interface, similar to smartphones, to display system notifications and statuses.

The device will be powered by M6 Pro and M6 Max processors, which will be manufactured based on TSMC's 2-nanometer technology.

The thickness of the body is expected to decrease due to the use of the OLED panel and the rearrangement of internal components. Additionally, the integration of 5G and LTE communication modules into the laptop using Apple's proprietary C1X or C2 modems is being considered.
