Musk testifies in court about profiting from OpenAI

Elon Musk testified against OpenAI in a California federal court on Wednesday. He alleged that Sam Altman and other co-founders stole the charitable organization. Techcrunch.com reports on this.
Under oath, Musk admitted that Tesla is not currently working on creating artificial general intelligence (AGI). This contradicts a message he posted on social media a few weeks ago.
During the trial, OpenAI attorney William Savitt attempted to show that Musk himself had supported turning the company into a commercial entity. Musk confirmed that he had conducted negotiations regarding this in 2016.
Musk stated that he believed OpenAI leadership would create artificial intelligence for humanity. However, he later began to doubt their objectives.
Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers temporarily suspended questioning regarding safety issues. Musk will return to court on Thursday to continue his testimony.
