Samsung is developing special holographic display technology for smartphones

Samsung is currently conducting secret research on a holographic imaging system codenamed MH1 or H1. This technology is aimed at creating future "spatial iPhone" devices, and it is rumored that Apple could be the primary customer for this innovation. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
According to leaked information, the new display uses a combination of nanostructured holographic layers, eye-tracking systems, and beam-steering technologies. This allows users to see a 3D effect without special glasses. By tilting the smartphone slightly, users will be able to view objects from different angles as if in real life.
An important aspect is that the system maintains full image quality when operating in standard 2D mode. Unlike previous 3D displays, this solution does not negatively impact image clarity. Samsung is adapting its 3D Plate technology for mobile devices through MH1 displays.
In the future, this technology will allow for the display of AI-based spatial avatars floating above smartphone screens. The Phone Futurist insider notes that this innovation is highly likely to be used in the anniversary iPhone 20 models, expected to be introduced in 2027.
