Digg returns as an AI news curation platform

The popular link-sharing service Digg is relaunching in a new format. Previously redesigned as a competitor to Reddit, the project was forced to shut down due to bot attacks and a lack of distinct functionality. Now, founder Kevin Rose has relaunched the project in a completely new direction: as an aggregator for artificial intelligence (AI) news. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
The main goal of the new Digg platform is to monitor the most influential sources in a specific field and highlight news that is truly relevant to users. For now, the project only works with AI-related news, but if successful, plans are in place to expand its scope.
The platform relies on real-time data from the X social network to create its ranking system. Digg's algorithms identify the most relevant topics by analyzing content, clustering, and studying user engagement. Users can track the most viewed, discussed, and trending news on the page.
At the current stage, the project is in beta testing and has some technical flaws. Company representatives note that this is not yet the final product, but an initial version designed to introduce the new concept to users.
