Samsung strengthens control over apps from unknown sources in One UI 9

Samsung has introduced a new feature in the One UI 9 beta that significantly enhances security. This section, called "Manage Unknown Apps," allows users to view all applications installed outside of official stores, such as via APK files or third-party platforms, in one place. This was reported by Ixbt.com reports .

Previously, users had to manually search for such programs in the general list, which was inconvenient when dealing with a large number of apps. Now, the system gathers all suspicious or unknown source programs in a separate panel, making it easier to quickly check and delete unnecessary ones.

In addition to the new feature, other security mechanisms in One UI 9 are being improved. The smartphone now provides warnings about suspicious apps, blocks their installation or launch, and recommends their removal through security policy updates.

Samsung has also updated its "Auto Blocker" feature. Specifically, the ability to completely block USB connections in maximum protection mode has been restored, which is an important step in protecting the device from physical threats.
