Russia's leading rocket and space corporation, RKK Energiya, has defined the key strategic tasks for the development of human spaceflight. According to the company's 2025 report, creating a technological reserve for future flights to Mars and nearby asteroids has been designated as one of the most important directions. The document notes that in 2025, the corporation continued its work on revising the directions of human spaceflight. In addition to interplanetary missions, the development of the Moon and the transition from low Earth orbit to utilizing more distant parts of space have been prioritized.
Furthermore, the construction of the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) is specifically highlighted as a strategic goal. This project is expected to serve as a primary base for future deep space exploration.
RKK Energiya is Russia's primary developer of manned spacecraft. As the successor to the legendary OKB-1 founded by Sergey Korolyov, the company has spent decades creating Soyuz and Progress spacecraft, as well as the Salyut and Mir orbital stations.
Today, the corporation manages the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) and many other major space projects, striving to maintain its leadership in the industry.
