Powerful X-class solar flares recorded

The Solar Orbiter spacecraft has recorded a series of extremely powerful X-class flares on the Sun. Since these events occurred on the far side of the star, their impact was not directed toward Earth. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
The active region formed there has already produced three major flares. Their energy was directed toward a region with almost no planets, with the main impact hitting Mercury.
According to observation data, the flares partially destroyed the group of sunspots itself. Therefore, its activity may decrease before the region 'turns' toward Earth.
This situation reduces the likelihood of strong geomagnetic effects on our planet in the coming days. Scientists continue to monitor the region: by the weekend, it will be visible from Earth, and it will be clarified whether the risk of space weather persists.
