President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a meeting with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses on issues related to increasing the sector's position in the economy and bringing its development to a new level.
At the meeting, the head of state touched upon the main goals and objectives of the sector for 2025. According to him, the following are envisaged:
– increasing the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the economy to 55 percent and creating $70 billion in added value;
– increasing small business exports from $9 billion last year to $12 billion by assisting in entering new markets with transport, certification and standards issues;
– increase the share of small businesses in drinking water, sewage, roads, construction, utilities, delivery, disposal, migration, culture and social services by 2-3 times;
– create 1.5 million permanent jobs and increase the share of the employed population in the sector to 75 percent;
– increase the number of enterprises with more than 100 employees to 4 thousand;
– launch the production of 100 new brand products in small businesses;
– finance 200 startup projects with the participation of small businesses.
It was noted that, due to the created conditions, 250 thousand new enterprises have started operating in three years. Most of them need land and buildings to “get on their feet” and expand their activities.
“When selecting land, the governors should first of all auction the plots requested by entrepreneurs who have a desire to expand and whose projects are ready,” the president emphasized.
For example, the Mingboev Robotics enterprise in Yunusabad has made prostheses and exoskeletons for people with disabilities, returning about 100 people to active social life. In order to expand its activities, the entrepreneur asked for a convenient place for people with disabilities to enter and exit freely.
It was decided that state facilities up to 10 thousand square meters will be leased free of charge for 5 years to entrepreneurs who create such high-tech products.
At the same time, a new system will be introduced in this regard: all state agencies in 15 districts and cities will be moved to one multi-storey building in the district center. The 1st-2nd floors of the new buildings will be sold to entrepreneurs.
In these districts, 150 buildings vacated by government agencies will be offered to entrepreneurs at auction. An additional 500 billion soums will be allocated to the 1 trillion soums earmarked for infrastructure projects for small and medium-sized businesses this year.
