May 9 is officially designated as the Day of Remembrance and Honor in Uzbekistan, and large-scale events are held throughout the country on this date, and this day is celebrated as a holiday.
This year, due to the fact that May 9 falls on a Friday, citizens will have several consecutive days off. These days are as follows:
— May 9, Friday — a day off for all employees in connection with the Day of Remembrance and Honor;
— May 10, Saturday — a regular day off for those who work 5 days a week, and a working day for those who work 6 days a week;
— May 11, Sunday — a regular day off for everyone.
Thus, employees who work five days a week will have three days off, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday being the days off. For those who work six days a week, Friday and Sunday will be the days off.
Remembrance and Honor Day is celebrated in our country to pay tribute to the memory of the participants and victims of World War II, as well as to honor the heroes of the war and labor front. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
