Uzbek tourism has set a record: more than a million foreign tourists visited in one month!

In April 2025, Uzbekistan achieved a completely new and unprecedented result in the tourism sector - for the first time in a month, more than one million foreign tourists visited our country. The Tourism Committee reported on this, emphasizing that this indicator is an effective result of the comprehensive and systematic reforms being carried out in the tourism sector in the country.

A number of important decrees and decisions adopted under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the development of the tourism sector as a strategic direction serve as the main reasons for these results. Also, the attraction of foreign investment, the country's openness policy, the expansion of visa-free regimes, and the strengthening of cooperation in the field of tourism with foreign countries have a positive impact on the rapid growth of this sector.

In particular, Uzbekistan's active participation in major international tourism fairs and forums serves to increase interest in our country and increase its global reputation. Through such events, the rich cultural and historical heritage, unique nature, and magnificent architectural monuments of our country are widely promoted on the international stage, further increasing the desire of foreign tourists to visit Uzbekistan.

In order to increase the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, large-scale work is being carried out to improve the infrastructure, raise the quality and diversity of tourism services to a higher level, as well as develop ecological and sustainable tourism destinations.
