
A new decree signed by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has significantly increased the amount of pensions, benefits, as well as child benefits and financial assistance for low-income families in our country from July 1, 2025.
According to the decree approved by the government, from July 1, 2025, the minimum age pension has been set at 918 thousand soums. This figure is 10 percent higher than before. The minimum disability pension will also be increased to 1 million 12 thousand soums.
The decree also clearly defines the amount of monthly child benefits for low-income families. Now, 360 thousand soums will be paid per month for each child under 3 years old, and 275 thousand soums per month for one child from 3 to 18 years old. At the same time, 165 thousand soums will be paid as an additional payment for the second child in the family, and 110 thousand soums for each third and subsequent child.
The monthly amount of financial assistance for low-income families will also be increased to 420 thousand soums. These changes are being implemented to further strengthen social protection of the population and improve their living standards.
In addition, starting from August 1, 2025, monthly salaries and scholarships of employees of budget organizations will also be increased by 10 percent. On this date, the basic calculation amount (BCA) will be set at 412 thousand soums, and the minimum wage will be 1 million 271 thousand soums.
According to the decree approved by the government, the costs associated with increasing salaries, pensions and benefits will be covered by the State Budget and the Pension Fund under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The decree also provides recommendations to employers to increase the solvency of citizens working in the private sector. They are advised to set their employees' monthly wages at a level not lower than the minimum wage.
It should be noted that efforts to improve the socio-economic situation of the population in Uzbekistan are continuing consistently. The last time wages, pensions and benefits were increased in the country by 15% was on September 1, 2024.
