Returnees from abroad will undergo mandatory medical examinations: amendments to the legislation will be made
At a meeting of the "National Revival" Democratic Party faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, an important draft law "On Amendments and Addenda to Certain Legislative Acts" was widely discussed.

This draft law was developed to protect the health of the country's population and prevent the spread of infectious diseases in society. According to the law, citizens of Uzbekistan who have been abroad for 90 days or more, foreign citizens permanently residing in the republic, as well as foreign citizens and stateless persons entering the country for work must undergo a mandatory medical examination, including an HIV test.

At the meeting, the initiator, deputy Sherzod Kulmatov, noted that the 90-day period was chosen for a reason. This period is due to the fact that a virus or infectious disease can be latent in the human body, and it is after this period that it begins to show clinical signs. Therefore, this period is justified from a medical point of view.

"Every citizen should take care of his or her own and family's health after returning from abroad. In this regard, timely medical examination is of great importance to prevent the spread of dangerous diseases," said Sherzod Kulmatov in his speech.

The draft law, in turn, is aimed at regulating labor migration processes, strengthening social security, and creating effective legal mechanisms against various infectious diseases that threaten the health of the population.

At the end of the discussions, the deputies unanimously approved the draft law, once again emphasizing its importance. These new changes are expected to be implemented in the near future.
