
Within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Mongolia, the first days of the trip were rich in historical and productive meetings. This visit has opened a new chapter in relations between the two countries.
On June 24, 2025, within the visit, a ceremony of official reception took place at Sukhe-Bator Square, located in the central part of the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, to welcome the leader of Uzbekistan and his spouse. At Sukhe-Bator Square, the state flags of Uzbekistan and Mongolia were raised high, and a military orchestra performed the anthems of both states. Following the reception, the President of Uzbekistan visited the State Palace of Mongolia, where he left his kind wishes in the Book of Honourable Guests. The words inscribed in this book will serve as a solid foundation for the friendship and cooperation between the two peoples.
After the official portion of the visit, high-level negotiations began with the participation of the presidents and official delegations. The negotiations focused on deepening bilateral ties in the political, economic, cultural‑humanitarian, and educational spheres. Special attention was paid to advancing trade‑economic cooperation to a new level, improving transport and logistics systems, and implementing joint projects in agriculture and tourism.
