By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on amendments and additions to certain decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the early crime prevention system in mahallas, the Concept of “Targeted Measures to Prevent Crimes in Mahallas with a Criminogenic Situation” has been approved.
The main goal of the Concept is to stabilize the criminogenic situation and create a safe environment in mahallas by combining separate organizational-preventive measures and targeted actions with a scientific-practical approach.
According to the Concept, by the end of 2025, the office of the head of the district (city) internal affairs body and the prosecutor will be directly organized in the mahalla, and the start and end of daily work will be carried out precisely there.
Step by step, the activity of local law enforcement posts will be established in the mahallas.
At social prevention facilities, especially in families committing offenses (quarrelsome and conflict-prone families), the practice of mandatory reporting on their condition at least every 3 days will be implemented.
In mahallas, for conducting propaganda and explanatory work among citizens in crime prevention, public groups “mahalla propagandists” will be created by the “mahalla seven”.
In public places in the mahalla, near apartment buildings and in front of houses, “Concern” buttons will be installed.
