In 2025, from January to July, over 6.3 million foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan. According to the data from the National Statistics Committee, the largest group among the tourists consists of individuals aged 31-55, numbering over 3.2 million. This shows how significant the proportion of tourists in this age group is among all visitors to the country.

Tourists visiting Uzbekistan are divided into several age groups. Among them, the largest group of travelers consists of those aged 31-55:

Increase in Tourists from Neighboring Countries
From January to May 2025, 4.2 million foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan, which is 48.2% more than the same period in 2024. The largest number of tourists came from Kyrgyzstan — 1.3 million people. The next largest groups were from Tajikistan (993,700 people) and Kazakhstan (889,600 people).

The Number of Tourists from China Doubled
For comparison, from January to May 2023, 2.6 million tourists visited Uzbekistan, with the largest number being from Tajikistan. The number of tourists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries also increased. In the first five months of 2023, 9,600 Chinese tourists visited Uzbekistan, and their number has increased nearly five times this year.
The growth of tourism in Uzbekistan and expanding access to new markets in the future may become important factors for the country’s economic development.
