Today, on September 1, some streets of Tashkent city will be temporarily closed. This was reported by the city Traffic Safety Department.
According to the information, in connection with the celebration of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s state independence, a large festive event is planned to be held in the “New Uzbekistan” park. For this reason, traffic on a number of central streets of the city will be temporarily restricted.
In particular, traffic will be closed from 17:00 to 23:00 on the section from Mahtumkuli–Ohangaron avenue to the intersection with New Uzbekistan – 4R12 road, along Cholpon street to the intersection of New Uzbekistan – National Park streets, as well as up to the intersection of New Uzbekistan – Temirchi streets.
Law enforcement agencies apologized to residents and guests of the capital for the temporary inconveniences and recommended using adjacent and bypass roads.
Thus, in order to ensure the safety of festive events and maintain public order, temporary restrictions are being introduced on the streets of the capital. Specialists ask drivers to plan their routes in advance and drive with caution.
