In Uzbekistan’s legislation, in order to preserve citizens’ peace and maintain public order, it is strictly prohibited to make excessive noise at night. The relevant articles of the Administrative Liability Code state that liability is established for such actions.
In what cases does liability arise?
According to the information, during the period from 23:00 to 06:00 it is strictly forbidden to disturb citizens’ peace. At this time, singing loudly, playing music, unnecessarily using car horns, and operating televisions or radios at high volume in homes are considered violations of the law.
Additionally, the use of tape recorders and other sound-emitting devices, as well as carrying out unnecessary noisy construction or repair work, is also regarded as a violation of anti-noise regulations.
Amount of fines
According to the law, for such actions citizens may be fined one-third of the BCU. If the violator is an official, the fine is set from one-third to one-half of the BCU.
However, if such an offense is repeated within a year, the fine for citizens increases to half of the BCU. For officials, the penalty may reach from one-half to one full BCU.

If citizens witness a disturbance of the peace, they can contact law enforcement authorities by calling the short number 102 or notify their local prevention inspector.

Lawyers and legal experts emphasize that disturbing the order at night is not only against the law but also negatively affects public health and mental well-being. Citizens disturbed by noise may experience disrupted sleep, reduced productivity, and even health problems.
Therefore, maintaining public order is the responsibility of every individual. Ensuring peace at night should be considered a sign of respect not only for neighbors but for the entire community or residential area.
