In January-July of this year, about 8,000 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled to the USA for tourism purposes. The National Statistical Committee provided official information about this.
According to the committee, this figure increased by 996 people, or 14.3%, compared to the same period last year. This indicates an increase in the interest of Uzbeks in traveling to the USA and the demand for travel opportunities.
The distribution of Uzbek citizens who traveled to the USA for 7 months of this year by purpose of travel is as follows:
- for tourism purposes - 5,683 people;
- to visit relatives and loved ones - 1978 people;
- for study and education - 179 people;
- for business trips - 104 people;
- for treatment - 23 people.
At the same time, it should be recalled that earlier it was reported that 39 citizens of Uzbekistan who did not have the right to legally stay in the USA were deported from this country.
