Today, September 23, the First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, visited a cultural exhibition in New York at the invitation of the First Lady of the Republic of Turkey, Emine Erdoğan. This was reported by UzA. At the event, organized to strengthen the spiritual and cultural ties between the two countries, they both visited the exhibition together.
The exhibition presented the rich traditions, crafts, and culture of Anatolia, combined with modern design, showcasing its centuries-old heritage. The exposition included national fabrics, hand-woven carpets, jewelry in the "telkari" and "kazaziyo" styles, pottery samples, walnut chests, and handmade copper vessels. These pieces of art reflected not only the historical significance of Anatolia but also the modern outlook of its people.
During the event, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Emine Erdoğan exchanged views on further strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations between the two countries and expanding mutual cooperation. Their discussions and interactions highlighted not only the shared values of both nations but also emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
Additionally, the spouses of heads of states and governments from other countries, as well as senior representatives of foreign delegations, participated in the event, which was held in New York during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. The event served to strengthen cultural and social ties and made a significant contribution to promoting the national heritage of both countries in the spirit of cooperation and respect between the nations.
This exhibition in New York further strengthened the cultural bridge between Uzbekistan and Turkey, contributing to deepening mutual understanding between the peoples.
