According to Article 187 of the Labor Code, working days before holidays must be reduced by at least 1 hour for all categories of employees. This rule is applied to ensure the labor rights of workers and employees, regardless of the work schedule.
In this regard, Wednesday, October 1st, is celebrated as Teachers' and Mentors' Day as a national holiday. This date is officially considered a non-working day. This means that on the day before the holiday - September 30, each shift and daily working hours must be reduced for everyone by at least one hour.
However, in some organizations where continuous production processes or continuous service provision are necessary, this rule may not be fully implemented. In such cases, the overtime of the employee is compensated by additional rest hours or, with the employee's consent, additional payment is made for overtime work according to established tariffs.
Thursday, October 2nd, is a regular working day for everyone.
