On September 30, the amount of fine PM2.5 particles in the air of Tashkent amounted to 40 μg/m3. According to IQAir data, this is 8 times higher than the norm recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
As of 08:00, the amount of ozone and PM10 pollutants in the city did not exceed the permissible limit. However, the concentration of PM2.5 particles is significantly higher than the WHO norm, and air quality is assessed as harmful to vulnerable groups.
At the same time, Tashkent entered the top ten in the ranking of the world's most polluted cities.
We remind you that Uzbekistan is still not included in the list of countries that fully comply with WHO air quality standards. This information is given in the 2024 report prepared by the Swiss company IQAir.
