On August 21, 2025, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed an important document - the Decree "On Additional Measures to Increase the Effectiveness of Justice and Strengthen the Material and Technical Base of Judicial Bodies by Introducing Artificial Intelligence Technologies into Judicial Activity."
The main goal of the decree is to drastically reduce the personal participation of citizens in courts through the introduction of smart technologies, eliminate paperwork, minimize the human factor, and thereby create additional conveniences for people.
From now on, the "Digital Court" concept will be gradually implemented in the country. In particular, by the end of 2025, modern courtrooms will be established in Tashkent as an experiment. All digital capabilities will be tested there. According to the results, the concept will be implemented throughout the republic in 2026-2027.
At the same time, a procedure is being introduced for sending appeals to the court only in electronic form and conducting court cases in a fully digital format. Previously, applications were required to be delivered personally to the court office, which resulted in unnecessary time and expenses.
Another major innovation is that participants in court proceedings will have the opportunity to participate remotely, without visiting the courthouse. Previously, only a judge's permission was required for this. Now, court costs are calculated and paid electronically. This will contribute to a sharp reduction in corruption cases.
Also, with the help of artificial intelligence, its approximate result and expenses are calculated before the start of the trial. This will allow citizens and entrepreneurs to assess their capabilities in advance.
In addition, all materials in the court proceedings are submitted electronically, and the minutes of court sessions are automatically generated in real time in the form of text. Draft court documents will now be prepared automatically.
From January 1, 2026, a module providing legal assistance to citizens will be launched on the interactive portal "my.sud.uz." It provides answers to legal questions through a virtual consultant based on artificial intelligence, and court information is provided automatically.
As noted by the chairman of the Uchkuprik District Criminal Court, Nodirjon Raimkulov, these processes will mark a new stage in improving the effectiveness of justice.
