Regions with the highest construction costs announced

The National Statistical Committee published updated data on construction work carried out throughout the country in January-August 2025. According to the analysis, construction work worth 188.5 trillion soums was completed in the first eight months of this year. This figure is 11.5% more than in the corresponding period of 2024.

According to the data, the largest expenditures on construction fell on the capital's share - 56.2 trillion soums worth of construction work was carried out in Tashkent. Thus, the capital is the absolute leader in the country in terms of construction activity.

At the same time, the lowest indicator was recorded in the Syrdarya region - where the total cost of all construction work amounted to only 3.6 trillion soums.

The results by region are distributed as follows:

Tashkent region - 21.4 trillion soums

Bukhara region - 12 trillion soums

Samarkand region - 11.5 trillion soums

Fergana region - 11.5 trillion soums

Kashkadarya region - 10.7 trillion soums

Surkhandarya region - 9.5 trillion soums

Namangan region - 8.8 trillion soums

Andijan region - 8.6 trillion soums

Navoi region - 7.9 trillion soums

Khorezm region - 7.8 trillion soums

Republic of Karakalpakstan - 6.4 trillion soums

Jizzakh region - 5.1 trillion soums

Experts emphasize that growth in the construction sector indicates a high level of economic activity in the country. The main impact on this growth was the implementation of large infrastructure projects in Tashkent and major industrial centers.

At the same time, along with the active implementation of construction work, problems related to documentation and licensing were also noted. It was previously reported that construction work had been halted at 59 facilities in the capital where documents were not fully formalized.
