Mirziyoyev had an important discussion with Putin by phone

Today, October 14, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, reported Prezident.uz.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the further strengthening of strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries, as well as the expansion of practical cooperation areas. The presidents emphasized the importance of consistently implementing the agreements reached at the highest level and noted that relations between the countries are becoming increasingly practical and result-oriented.

Special attention was given to the steady growth of cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture, and energy. The discussion also touched upon supporting joint projects at the regional level, opening new investment opportunities, and improving logistics infrastructure.

During the dialogue, the growing humanitarian cooperation — particularly in culture, art, and education — was noted with satisfaction. The presidents highly appreciated the progress made in training engineering personnel, promoting scientific exchange, and expanding educational opportunities for students of both nations.

The heads of state also reviewed the plan for upcoming joint events. At the end of the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin reaffirmed their strong commitment to deepening strategic cooperation based on mutual trust and friendly relations.

This dialogue marked another important stage in the development of bilateral relations and once again demonstrated that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia continues to evolve in a stable and pragmatic direction.
