How will Tashkent allocate 87 billion soums?

How will Tashkent distribute 87 billion soums?
The Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies has adopted a decision on the allocation of 87 billion soums received from additional budget sources. The funds will be directed to increasing the salaries of civil servants, repairing and equipping kindergartens, as well as supporting students from socially vulnerable families.

The majority of the budget — 65 billion soums — will be allocated to cover expenses related to increased salaries and higher electricity tariffs. The remaining 22 billion soums will be purposefully distributed to a number of key projects of social and cultural significance: • Covering contract tuition payments for 150 girls from orphaned or low-income families; • Repairing and re-equipping schools and kindergartens; • Purchasing necessary medical equipment and special vehicles; • Supporting cultural initiatives and producing content for children.

10.5 billion soums will be allocated to the preschool education system. These funds will be aimed at repairing, equipping, and restoring the functioning of kindergartens.

In addition, 4 billion soums will be allocated within the framework of the "Tashkent Experience" project for classroom repairs and additional payments to teachers. Thus, this decision of the Council is aimed at improving the living standards of employees of budget organizations in the capital and strengthening socially important institutions.
