The Tashkent City Administration has issued an official response to public concerns about the condition of the green area on Abdulla Qodiriy Street. According to the press service of the administration, the ongoing work on this street is aimed at creating a comfortable and environmentally friendly environment for city residents and comprehensively improving the area.
In particular, the restoration of pedestrian walkways, leveling of the soil, establishment of lawns, and renewal of the irrigation system are planned. All works are being carried out under the supervision of dendrologists and environmental specialists from the Tashkent City Improvement Department.
Experts explain that temporarily covering the lower parts of tree trunks with soil is an important technological step before landscaping work. This method is necessary to compact the soil and prepare for the final stage of processing.
Dendrologists emphasize that this temporary covering does not pose a danger to the trees. During this process, airflow to the root system is ensured.
Specialists note that in Uzbekistan's dry continental climate, there is no risk of root rot from excess moisture. After all construction and earthworks are completed, and before the start of spring, the soil under the trees will be removed, ensuring full air exchange and natural moisture for the roots in accordance with agrotechnical requirements.
The administration also expressed gratitude to the public and the media for their active civic stance and attention to the protection of the capital's green areas. Such activism was said to contribute to the development of Tashkent as a comfortable, green, and open city.
