Updated information on wages across Uzbekistan has been published. According to the National Statistics Committee, in January-September 2025, the Qamashi district was the region with the lowest average salary in the republic.
Workers in Qamashi received an average salary of 3 million soums - this figure is half the country's average salary of 6.2 million soums.
The highest salary was recorded in the Mirabad district of the capital - 13.1 million soums. Thus, the difference between the highest and lowest wages is almost four times.
According to the report, in 28 districts of the republic, wages are above the average, and in the remaining regions - about 4 million soums. In particular, in the Amudarya, Mirishkor, and Kamashi districts, the salary is less than half of the republican level.
Interestingly, the growth rate was higher in regions with low wages. For example, in these districts, the average salary increased by 18.4 percent, while in regions with high wages, the growth was 17.5 percent.
According to experts, although this growth indicates increased economic activity in some regions, further systemic measures are needed to eliminate the large wage gap in the short term.
