
In the first three quarters of 2025, the import of electric cars into the Republic of Uzbekistan increased significantly. According to the National Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, the volume of imports increased 2.5 times, with a total of 40.3 thousand electric vehicles brought into the country.
The total value of imported electric cars amounted to 473 million dollars. They were supplied from 16 countries worldwide.
Compared to January–September 2024, the number of imported electric cars increased by 24.1 thousand units. The People's Republic of China consolidated its position as the main supplier with 39.8 thousand electric cars.
In addition, 249 electric cars were imported from Hong Kong, 165 from South Korea, 43 from Germany, and 25 from the USA. The remaining 65 electric vehicles were imported from other countries.
This trend is being observed against the background of a slight decrease in overall demand for passenger cars in the country. In particular, in September of this year, 84.6 thousand vehicles were sold, which is 6.4 percent less than the indicators in August.
