Gas and gasoline production in Uzbekistan has sharply decreased

Uzbekistan's industrial indicators for January-October 2025 have been released. The energy sector has seen a sharp decline in natural gas and gasoline production. Natural gas extraction amounted to 35.5 billion cubic meters, which is 1.8 billion cubic meters less than last year.

Industrial indicators of Uzbekistan for January–October 2025 have been published. According to the National Statistics Committee, enterprises of the country produced goods worth 865.8 trillion soms over 10 months — 6.7 percent more than in the same period last year.

However, a decline was observed in the energy sector. Natural gas production amounted to 35.5 billion cubic meters — 3.5 billion less compared to 2023, and 1.8 billion cubic meters less compared to the first 10 months of 2024.

Automobile gasoline production also decreased significantly. This year, 974.7 thousand tons of gasoline were produced — 131.5 thousand tons less than last year, and 118.7 tons less compared to the first 10 months of 2024.

Oil production totaled 547.3 thousand tons, showing a decrease of 54.7 thousand tons over the year.

Meanwhile, diesel and coal production increased. Diesel output reached 978.1 thousand tons (last year: 877.9 thousand tons). Coal production exceeded 6.5 million tons.

Electricity generation rose by 3.8 percent, reaching 69.2 billion kWh.
