The Payme application, having quietly increased the commission amount for P2P transfers between cards, sparked major discussions among users. Instead of the previous 1 percent, now 1.1 percent is being deducted. Interestingly, the payme.uz website still displays the old — 1-percent — tariff.
To clarify the situation, a Zamin.uz correspondent contacted Payme's support service. An operator who introduced herself as Karina confirmed that the commission was indeed increased on December 4. According to her, this change was made to further improve the application.
However, the most notable point is that users were not informed about this at all. The operator explained this by the terms of the offer, noting that information about the commission is shown only at the moment of performing a transaction.
Additionally, some Telegram channels reported that Payme employees, in personal conversations, stated that the commission had actually been increased two months earlier. This has raised even more questions around the situation.
Until Payme provides an official explanation, discontent and discussions among users continue.
