In 2026, deputies will receive 500 billion soums to implement projects in their electoral districts. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this. In addition, at the deputies’ initiative, another 330 million soums will be allocated in the regions to create “green areas” and parks. These funds are part of the 8.5 trillion soums allocated under a large-scale program aimed at developing more than 9,000 mahallas. Starting next year, Uzbekistan will apply a comprehensive approach, simultaneously addressing infrastructure issues in mahallas and improving conditions for entrepreneurship. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the country’s well-being begins at the mahalla level. “By the condition of roads, the quality of electricity and water supply, transport, as well as the conditions in schools and polyclinics, people assess the effectiveness of our reforms,” the head of state said. According to the plans, by 2030 this strategy will transform even remote areas and help create a comfortable environment across all regions of the republic.
