What place did Uzbekistan occupy in the ranking of peace-loving countries?

Uzbekistan recorded positive results in the prestigious international Global Peace Index 2025 report. According to the updated ranking, the country ranked 67th among 163 countries in the world, climbing two positions compared to last year and entering the Top 70 peace-loving countries.
Uzbekistan maintains a relatively stable position in the Central Asian region. In the ranking, he took second place after Kazakhstan (56th place), surpassing Kyrgyzstan (78th place), Tajikistan (79th place), and Turkmenistan (87th place). This indicator means that the measures being implemented in the country in the direction of public safety and internal stability are effective to a certain extent.
The Global Peace Index ranks countries based on several important criteria. In particular, the level of public security, the state of involvement in internal and international conflicts, as well as the scale of militarization are taken into account as the main factors. The report notes that the level of peacefulness on a global scale maintains a downward trend, while tension has intensified in some regions.
The top positions of the ranking were traditionally occupied by stable and peaceful states. In particular, Iceland, Ireland, and New Zealand retained their leadership as the most peaceful countries in the world. At the bottom of the ranking are Russia, Ukraine, and Sudan, where military conflicts and political instability are strong.
In general, Uzbekistan's advancement in the Global Peace Index is considered an important step towards strengthening the country's international image and position in the region. If this trend continues, it is possible that even higher results will be recorded in the coming years.
