From January to September 2025, Uzbekistan recorded 664.6 thousand live births. According to official statistics, the largest share of births came from mothers aged 25–39.
Data from the National Statistics Committee show the following breakdown by parents’ age groups.
Fathers’ age:
under 25 — 74,946 (11.3 percent)
25–39 — 542,512 (81.6 percent)
40 and older — 47,140 (7.1 percent)
Mothers’ age:
under 25 — 269,823 (40.6 percent)
25–39 — 385,424 (58 percent)
40 and older — 9,351 (1.4 percent)
As the figures show, most births in Uzbekistan are to mothers aged 25–39. At the same time, the share of mothers under 25 is also quite high — close to nearly every second birth.
In short, the statistics suggest that the most active group when it comes to starting a family and having children is around the 25–39 age range. But the share of younger mothers is also significant, meaning the country’s demographic “energy” remains high.
