Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that Uzbekistan will assist in the restoration of Gaza

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that Uzbekistan is ready to provide all possible assistance in restoring the destroyed infrastructure in the Gaza Strip of Palestine. In particular, it was noted that there is an opportunity to provide practical assistance in the construction of housing, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals.
This statement was made on February 19 at the first summit of the "Council of Peace" in Washington. The head of state firmly expressed support for the peacekeeping initiative to create this structure and Uzbekistan's readiness to actively participate in its successful implementation.
According to the President, the work of the "Peace Council" can create a favorable environment in the Gaza Strip, contributing to economic and social recovery. At the same time, it was emphasized that any external management mechanism must rely, first of all, on the internal support of the sector's population. Because the recovery process is stable not on paper, but through people's trust and joint efforts.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the coordinated, goal-oriented steps of all parties will bring post-conflict reconstruction to order and create the necessary conditions for the rapid and systematic reconstruction of Gaza. Within the framework of this approach, Uzbekistan's readiness to provide practical assistance was openly expressed: it intends to contribute to the construction of housing, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals.
Speaking about the summit, the President noted that this meeting is a vivid example of international solidarity for the sake of improving the situation in the Middle East and strengthening peace. He added that it is necessary to take advantage of this opportunity and strive to build a new Gaza with a reviving economy and a decent life for its people.
The "Peace Council" summit in Washington is being held under the chairmanship of US President Donald Trump. Delegations from more than 20 countries are participating in it.
In short, one thing is very clear in this appeal: restoration is not just about buildings, it means restoring hope and life. If all parties act in a coordinated manner, a new page may open for Gaza.
